Southern New England hosts some of the most spectacular wedding venues in the country.  How do you know which ones are right for you?  Here is an easy guide you should use to get the process going.

  • Establish your wedding budget and guest count.
  • Think about you as a couple and what setting reflects who you are. Mansion, barn, vineyard, beachy, tent/no tent, urban, woodsy, on the water?
  • Can the venue accommodate your guest count? Think about the style of dinner service you will offer. Venues seat less guests with a buffet or stations style dinner.
  • Ask your venue manager to walk you through how your event would flow through their property.
  • Can you get ready on site?
  • What does the rental rate include?
  • What added costs should be factored into a wedding at your venue? Catering, valet, tent, portable restrooms, tables/chairs?
  • Can you have your ceremony on site? Is there an extra fee for that? Are there additional rentals needed to host my ceremony on site?
  • What time does my wedding have to end and how many hours is the rental?!
  • Will rain on your wedding day ruin your day? Afterall, we are in New England. Tent or no tent, make sure you’ve thought through a rain plan.
