What to Expect at a Tasting
So what goes on at a tasting? Here we hope to give you a much better idea of what to expect from your Russell Morin customized tasting. We also thought it’d be fun to share one of our favorite cocktail recipes from this 2012 tasting season!

You’ve received your tasting invitation and scheduled a day to come in, but what goes on and how much do we cover?—It’s going to be amazing, only anticipate being floored, and when you leave we will have covered everything from food, to drinks, to setup, linens, china…oh the list goes on. You should leave your tasting feeling WAY less stressed than when you came in.
First we start off by taking the menu you handpicked (hard to choose isn’t it?). You will begin by tasting all of the hors d'oeuvre options you selected. Be sure to jot down what you like and don’t like and feel free to make suggestions, we always love the feedback. The main courses make their way in next, and a wine tasting begins to accompany them. After you are completely stuffed we bring out the desserts. The cake tasting starts it off, and trust me it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before! We have some surprises up our sleeves so you may end up tasting a bit more than just cake! Don’t worry if you don’t finish it all—we have to go boxes. Your tasting coordinator will then sit down with you to make the final decisions on food, and you will also get to discuss everything that will take place on your wedding day.
Here are photos showcasing food from some recent tastings. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to get the Recipe from our famous Smores Martini!
